National Plan for Vacation Day: Family Trips

Because our kiddos need vacations, too. The world is theirs to explore, after all! We know a lot of research goes into finding the perfect family-friendly escape, so allow us to lend a helping hand with these parent-approved #ZapClient stays! Whether choosing to enjoy the luxury of Fairmont Mayakoba in the Riviera Maya; all the fun that awaits at Hawks Cay Resort in the Florida Keys; becoming a VIK (very important kid) at Swissotel Chicago; or exploring the shores of Grand Residences in Riviera Cancun, you really can’t go wrong!

Here are the family trips we LOVED as kids to give you some other ideas:

  • Italy

  • Cruise to St. Thomas, Turks and Caicos and San Juan

  • Hawaii

    Either New York City or Washington D.C.

  • Driving down to Florida for Easter with my family to spend time with 40 of my extended family members

  • San Antonio, Texas

  • A cruise to the Bahamas

  • Every trip to the beach!

  • A backroads biking trip through the Italian Alps with my family when I was about 8!

  • Disney World (when I was very little!)

  • Camping road trip through Eastern Canada

  • Cape Hatteras, North Carolina

  • Australia!

  • White water rafting in New Mexico

  • Disneyland/Disney World

And the parents in our office share tips on traveling with the kiddos:

  • Bring lots of snacks for the plane

  • Pack more diapers than you think you'll need

  • Keep them well-fed

  • Bring chargers

  • Please allow time for the inevitable!

  • Buy little toys and surprise the kids with them on the plane to keep them entertained

  • An iPad or other screens to keep them quiet

  • Run them around before the flight so they sleep
