ZAP Wanderlust: Los Angeles Bites

One of my favorite cold weather escapes is Los Angeles. As much as I love Chicago, there hits a point every winter where I need some sunshine and warm weather. I love LA because of all the different experiences one can have there. I visited in early March with my sister, and we did everything from hike to the Hollywood sign to window shopping on Abbot Kinney. It’s amazing that one can have a completely active day outside and then eat at some of the best restaurants in the country that evening.

Trying new restaurants and bars is probably my favorite part of any vacation. While in LA, we ate at my absolute favorite Japanese restaurant twice. I am completely convinced that Sugarfish is the best sushi I’ve ever had, and I would have gone back a third time if time had allowed for it. We also had brunch at the trendy Sqirl and dinner at Gjelina in Venice for our last meal of the trip. I would highly recommend all three – especially Sugarfish.
