ZAP REFRESH: A Cure to the Winter Blues

December just started, and I can guess most Chicagoans are already ready for summer. To cure the winter blues, why not try something new or find a unique hobby to keep your mind off the lack of sun and an abundance of below zero wind chill days.

A few years ago, I visited West Town-based home and garden retailer Sprout Home for a terrarium workshop, and it was such an informative and fun experience. The workshop teaches you the steps for building an open terrarium, including planting and maintenance. As part of the class, you’ll receive a terrarium bowl, planting materials, coordinating plants, soil, planting décor and more.
