CHICAGO (April 2, 2019) – Zapwater Communications, Inc. is excited to announce that it has been named the public relations agency of record for the United States for Travel Manitoba, adding to the agency’s growing roster of destination clients.

Situated in the heart of Canada where golden wheat fields, infinite blue skies and clean lakes intersect, Manitoba is recognized for its wildlife, outdoor activities, arts and culture, Northern Lights viewing, and culinary experiences.

Manitoba is currently one of the hottest emerging travel destinations, receiving media accolades such as Lonely Planet’s “Best In Travel 2019 – Top 10 Regions” list. The province features premier destinations like Winnipeg, a city recognized for its well-preserved, early 20th-century architecture and numerous historic sites; and Churchill, which is known for some of the best polar bear and beluga whale sightings in the world.

“We are honored to be representing Manitoba in the United States,” says David Zapata, president of Zapwater Communications. “It is truly a unique and emerging destination that already draws considerable interest from those in the know. Our team can’t wait to share Manitoba’s unforgettable landscapes and rich culture with media and influencers and begin sharing a destination we already love.”

Zapwater’s scope of work will include media relations, influencer engagement, partnerships and events. Additionally, Zapwater will embrace Manitoba’s “Canada’s Heart Beats” brand in order to increase awareness of the province’s geographic landscapes, cities with unique flare, interesting wildlife, history and more. Travel Manitoba is the province’s tourism marketing agency, dedicated to providing resources for travelers by collaborating with local businesses, communities, destination marketing organizations, and levels of government.

In addition to Travel Manitoba, Zapwater currently represents the following international destinations: La Paz Baja Sur Tourism Office, National Tourism Office of Serbia, Tourisme Montréal, Visit Finland and others.
