ZAPWATER’S DAVID ZAPATA, RECEIVES THE PUBLICITY CLUB OF CHICAGO’S 2019 MEMBER OF THE YEAR AWARD

CHICAGO (June 7, 2019) – Zapwater Communications, Inc., is thrilled to announce that the agency’s CEO and Founder, David Zapata, has been selected as the Publicity Club of Chicago’s (PCC) 2019 Member of the Year. This was PCC’s inaugural “Member of the Year” award, making Zapata the first-ever recipient.

PCC is a network of Chicago-area professionals that make up one of the nation’s largest independent public relations membership organizations. The recipient of their first Member of the Year award was chosen after public voting and a formal review process. Voters were encouraged to nominate standouts in the Midwest’s PR community who went above and beyond. The Member of the Year award recognizes the individual who demonstrates exemplary leadership, creativity, and service to his/her industry.

Zapata has been involved with PCC for 19 years, previously serving as a Board member and still actively participating in the organization’s programming and annual awards. Under Zapata’s leadership, Zapwater has won more than 50 Trumpet Awards including winning three of the award competition’s “Big Awards” including Best of Show (Virgin Hotels), Elynore D. Meserow Creativity Award (Icelandair) and Jeffrey D. Bierig Brand Builder Award (Cufflinks.com).

“I am honored to be the Publicity Club of Chicago’s 2019 Member of the Year,” says David Zapata, CEO and founder of Zapwater. “As someone who has been involved with the organization for almost 20 years, I have always stressed the importance of PCC’s network, striving to support to the organization the best I can. I’m thrilled to have been chosen as the award’s first ever recipient and will continue my involvement in the organization for many years to come.”
