ZAPWATER NAMED PUBLIC RELATIONS AGENCY OF RECORD FOR THE FORGE: LEMONT QUARRIES ADVENTURE PARK
CHICAGO (January 27, 2020) – Zapwater Communications, Inc. has been retained by The Forge: Lemont Quarries Adventure Park (The Forge) to assist in strategic communications efforts leading up to the adventure park’s grand opening in summer 2020. Zapwater will serve as public relations agency of record.
Coming to Lemont this summer, The Forge: Lemont Quarries is the most-anticipated outdoor adventure park in the Chicagoland area. Just 22 miles southwest of the city, the 300-acre destination will feature the largest zip line tower and aerial challenge course in North America. The park will offer engaging year-round outdoor recreational activities that exhilarate, educate, and entertain adventurers of all ages and abilities, including mountain biking courses, flatwater paddling activities, a custom-designated Kid’s Activity Zone, amphitheater, restaurant & beer garden, along with miles of running, biking and hiking trails. Programming will include fitness programs, summer camps, athletic events, concerts, music festivals and much more.
Founded by Jeremie Bacon, Chris Gladwin, and Bart Loethen, the public-private partnership will utilize land licensed from the Village of Lemont and Lemont Township; revitalizing abandoned quarry sites along the Illinois and Michigan Canal. Upon completion, the attraction is expected to draw in several hundred thousand visitors to Lemont per year while increasing tourism, an area where Zapwater excels. The park will be open year-round from Sunday through Saturday.
