The Montserrat Tourism Division Partners with Zapwater Communications
Caribbean Destination Working with the Agency to Build Awareness with Select
Destination Programs and Activations
CHICAGO (February 15, 2021) – Zapwater Communications is delighted to announce that Montserrat Tourism Division has retained the agency for media relations activations in North America. Home to active Soufriere Hills Volcano, the agency will lead the destination’s Remote Workers Stamp initiative and other promotional campaigns designed to position one of the Caribbean’s untouched gems as a “must visit/can’t miss” island-in-the-sun.
Located in the Eastern Caribbean, this lush green mountainous island possesses an amazing network of hiking trails and dark-sand beaches and exudes a natural beauty and charm that disarm the “been-there, done that” traveler. Fondly known as the Emerald Isle of the Caribbean for its resemblance to the coast of Ireland and also the Irish ancestry of many of its inhabitants, Montserrat is the only country outside of Ireland to celebrate St Patrick’s Day as a national holiday.
“Montserrat is one of those rare islands whose unique history, culture and lore continues to make it one of the most sought-after destinations, especially if you’re a “timeless music” lover like me,” noted Zapwater’s founder and CEO David Zapata. “From the legendary Air Studios to the Soufriere Hills Volcano, this small island is responsible for some of the region’s most notable events and we are privileged to be part of the team sharing the story. ‘Resilient’ is the one word that comes to mind when describing Montserrat, and a great example of how we all can responsibly, sustainably and positively navigate the current travel climate, enjoying life’s simple pleasures.”
The account will be managed out of Zapwater’s Miami office and the scope of work includes media relations, virtual events and partnerships.
