With each passing day, our anticipation for warm weather continues to grow and we can hardly contain our excitement. Baseball season is officially in full swing (pun intended), spring garments are hanging in stores and there’s an abundance of joggers on the lake front.

In Chicago, we welcome spring with open patios, rooftop season and outdoor dining. Here are a few of my favorite hangout spots with rooftops, patios and outdoor dining options that you’ll be sure to enjoy!

Bang Bang Pie Shop: Ever try their candied bacon? One word. Heaven. They have an outdoor patio that is a great relaxing lunch spot.

Cerise: This Chicago rooftop bar and nightclub offers 360 degree views of the city that serve as a great backdrop!

Cindy’s: This 13th floor rooftop space has spectacular views of the Art Institute, virtually all of Millennium Park and the lake right off Michigan Avenue.

Joy District: The space has undergone cosmetic updates with new furniture, string lights and awnings. The space will feature a frozen drink program similar to those in Miami and Mexico and guests will enjoy Strawberry Daiquiris, Pina Coladas, Miami Vices and more. The leadership team hopes to create a fun and unique atmosphere you don’t typically see in Chicago.

RM Champagne Salon: This funky urban-outdoor setting is a great place to try a bubbly-friendly menu and knock back a few oysters.

Sullivan's Steakhouse: Head over after work to grab a cocktail and smoke a cigar on the patio. It's right near Michigan Avenue in the heart of River North and a short walk from the river front.

Happy hour suggestions are always welcome! Cheers & here’s to a great Chicago spring!
