Meet Team ZAP: Neda Bencun

Growing up in Chicago as the oldest of two children, the values of a good education and hard work were instilled in Neda at an early age. After graduating high school, Neda made the decision to stay local and attended DePaul University, graduating with a double major in Public Relations & Advertising and Organizational Communications and a minor in Marketing.   Throughout her studies, Neda was always involved through numerous public relations and marketing internships with notable organizations, or volunteering through school and in the community. Neda took advantage of Chicago's unique blend of opportunities and cultures to absorb as much knowledge from each experience, all while giving back.

Neda joined our wonderful team at Zapwater this past November as an Assistant Publicist and comes from a local boutique agency, Orly Telisman Public Relations, where she has worked since graduation. She worked on various clients including, but not limited to, Magna-Tiles, Pay Your Selfie, Northeastern Illinois University’s El Centro, and more. At Zapwater, Neda's client focus is consumer and hospitality.

  When Neda is not hard at work at Zapwater, she can be found spending time with her loved ones or curled up next to a good book with a side of coffee, of course. In the company of her younger sister and partner in crime, Neda can often be spotted exploring coffee shops in various neighborhoods. Their mutual love of a good read often turns to treasured Saturday morning visits to the library or book store. She has also always had an interest in criminology which naturally translated into an avid following of Chicago's very own Chicago PD, Med, and Fire, as well as Law & Order SVU (fan of all things Dick Wolf).

While at Zapwater Neda looks forward to fully immersing herself with her new clients and creating lasting friendships!
