OLD STYLE BEER RETAINS ZAPWATER COMMUNICATIONS
CHICAGO March 21, 2014 - Zapwater Communications, Inc., the Midwest’s premier boutique public relations agency, has been retained by Pabst Brewing Co. to work on its Old Style Beer brand. Zapwater’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, regional consumer and lifestyle media relations designed to create strong awareness for the iconic beer brand, development and management of local CSR initiatives, and future promotion rollouts. “We're excited to work with such an iconic brand that is synonymous with Chicago,” says David Zapata, president of Zapwater Communications. “The goal of this partnership is to reiterate and reinforce the long-standing belief that Old Style is 'Chicago’s Beer.'"
Old Style was first brewed in 1902 by the G. Heileman Brewing Company in La Crosse, Wisconsin under the name Old Style Lager; throughout the years, it grew in popularity in Wisconsin, the Chicago metro area, Minnesota, eastern Iowa, Lincoln, Nebraska, southwestern Michigan, Upper Michigan, and Fargo and Grand Forks, North Dakota.
