SILLY BANDZ INVAZION AT ZAPWATER

As public relations professionals we hold our ourselves accountable to be on the forefront of the latest trends. Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past month you’ve most likely heard of SillyBandz. These bandz are a popular new rubber band accessory that come in a variety of colors and themes including princess, rainforest, zoo animals, alphabet, and fantasy creatures. Overnight these bandz have become a must have item for children of all ages. The “slap bracelet” of this generation, Silly bandz are in such demand that they can be almost impossible to find and have been banned in many grade schools for being a student distraction. Not to be left out of the curve, we at Zapwater have embraced our inner child and this new trend.

I often feel like the Zapwater Silly Bandz ringleader. I always rock at least 4 bandz at a time in office, have been fortunate enough to pass these bands onto other employees, conducted an attempted trade with 5 year olds and Annie at WGN Studios, and receive various texts from Susie when she gets her hands on a new addition. By summer’s end I am sure this trend will have faded away and been replaced with something new, but for now it’s nice to have a sea foam glow in the dark mermaid on my wrist to brighten up my day.
