THINGS HEAT UP AT SECOND ANNUAL CHEFS ON THE GRILL EVENT
Chefs on the Grill is a gastronomical grilling event that brings together renowned chefs of the Millennium Valley for a good cause. The alfresco experience is held at The Plaza at Park Grill with various Chicago chefs participating in the grilling competition. Attendees have the opportunity to interact with the chefs while they’re grilling and then vote on the best-grilled dish of the evening. Guests will also enjoy food, drink and special take-away prizes all under Chicago’s famous “bean.”
Chefs on the Grill proceeds will benefit the Grant Park Conservancy, a not-for-profit organization seeking to improve and develop Grant Park and promote the park as a lively civic space. Important to each and every partner in Millennium Valley, the mission of the Grant Park Conservancy is to provide a permanent body that enables Grant Park to respond and adapt to the changing needs of its users as the park passes from generation to generation. For more information, please visit www.grantparkconservancy.com.
Participating Chefs include Chef Bernie Laskowski of Park Grill, Chef Cliff Ostrowski of China Grill, Chef Michael Fiorello of Mercat a la Planxa, Chef Ben Walanka and Daniel Romero of Rhapsody, Chef Michael Cisternino of Tavern at the Park, Chef Dirk Flanigan of The Gage, Chef Mark Baker of University Club of Chicago and Chef Cesar Reyes of The Chicago Firehouse.
Chef’s on the Grill takes places on Wednesday, June 24, 2009 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $55.00 per person. A portion of the proceeds benefits the Grant Park Conservancy.
