ZAP Style Notes: Thanksgiving Style Guide
Thanksgiving is easily one of the best days of the year. What’s not to love about eating turkey, stuffing and pumpkin pie and spending time with family all day long? I know I always want to look my best since I’m visiting with relatives I haven’t seen since last winter, but the large amounts of food make my high-waisted jeans, leather pants and cropped sweaters sound very unappealing. Therefore, here are some tips for still looking your best while also being comfortable this Thanksgiving:
- Loose-fitting tunics and dresses are your best friend. Sweatshirts aren’t the only solution to comfort. Dresses automatically have a reputation for being uncomfortable and a hassle, but they’re actually a great way to look effortlessly stylish. I’m looking forward to picking up this Embroidered Dress from the newly re-opened Zara at Block 37 because it’s the perfect way to hide feeling stuffed!
- Go for the colorful leggings. When the thought of being able to wear leggings all day is just too good to pass up, mix it up with a fun color to add some spice to your outfit. I can’t get enough of the rich color of the Purple Sublimated Leggings from The Barre Code, so dress them up with a white sweater and some jewelry!
- Make a shoe statement. People usually leave their shoes on at my family gatherings, which means I’m uncomfortably sitting with my leather booties on all day. One solution to this dilemma is to bring a pair of slippers! I love Birdies Slippers because they not only look like normal shoes, but also come with adorable patterns to style up your outfit. I’m looking forward to rocking The Starling!
