ZAP Style Notes: 2016 Paris Fashion Week Highlights
Hot off the runway and just in time for spring, here are a few of our favorite fashion takeaways from Paris Fashion Week 2016.
BALMAIN: Olivier Rousteing embraced an array of light grays, pastels, soft fabrics and suede in his new Balmain collection. Corset-inspired shapes, transparent lace tailoring and lingerie-focused designs were the collection’s distinctive elements.
BALENCIAGA: Balenciaga debuted its collection from the new artistic director, Demna Gvasalia. The label made waves with disrupted street wear, hoodies with oversized sleeves, shirts cut back to front, a trench with extra padding around the hips and an off-the-shoulder coat.
VALENTINO: Valentino knows how to do romance the best. The brand debuted a collection of dance inspired looks, ballerina-length dresses, reinterpreted ballet slippers and fluid silk jersey roll-neck dresses.
What can we take away from yet another fashion week? Pastels, corsets, dresses and trench coats (among others) are a fashion must-have this fall!
