ZAPWATER CONTINUES TO PROMOTE DEAR MR. GACY, INDEPENDENT FILM ABOUT INFAMOUS SERIAL KILLER

CHICAGO April 1, 2010 -Zapwater Communications, Inc., the Midwest's premier boutique public relations agency, has been retained to promote Dear Mr. Gacy, a biopic about serial killer John Wayne Gacy. The film is based on the book The Last Victim, written by Jason Moss and his relationship with the notorious serial killer. The film is currently in post-production. The movie was written by Des Plaines native Kelly Madison and produced by Clark Peterson, who also produced the Academy Award winning film Monster, starring CharlizeTheoron.

Late last year, the Dear Mr. Gacy production crew visited Chicago to wrap filming on DVD ‘extras,’ including interviews with Gacy’s lawyers and childhood friends. The Zapwater team utilized the visit and the film’s compelling plotline to schedule a local press tour, which generated both national and local media including the nationally syndicated Mancow Mueller Morning Radio Show, WGN-TV, Crain’s Chicago Business Blog, The Daily Herald, NBCChicago.com and USAToday.com.
