ZAP BITES: Tasty Tiramisu Recipe
Looking for a new dessert recipe that’s perfect for summer? What about one that looks like you’re a skilled pastry chef? This recipe is one I learned while taking a cooking class in Siena, Italy last fall. It’s so easy that I didn’t even need a recipe to recreate it this past weekend!
Ingredients:
- 4 eggs
- 4 tbsp granulated sugar
- 2 8 oz. containers of Mascarpone cheese
- Biscotti
- Sweet Port
- Cocoa Powder
Instructions:
- Separate 4 eggs placing the egg whites in one medium size bowl and the egg yolks in another medium size bowl
- Add 2 tbsp of sugar to each bowl and combine
- Mix egg white blend with mixer until thick with peaks forming
- Add mascarpone to egg yolk blend and combine
- Add egg white mixture to the egg yolk mixture folding in until completely combined
- Meanwhile, lightly dipp biscotti into port to coat, using 4 tbsps of port
- Divide cookies evenly between four bowls
- Pour egg mixture over cookies, evenly
- Top with a dusting of cocoa powder
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour
